I started running a store with a friend of mine (conveniently also called Jessica) with the name Jeska's Jewellery. Things didn't really work out with her and she stopped working with me on the business. I have been slowly plodding along with business alone but I got to the point where i decided that maybe a re-brand was in order to make he business feel more my own.
The designs I was working on was completely different to what was originally planned so I have tried to come up with a brand which matched my style. To be honest coming up with the name was the hardest part of the re-brand but with a little help and enthusiasm from my work buddy Zoe, we were able to come up with something that I love.
Originally the main focus of the business was to produce and sell jewellery but I don't want to be limited to just that. I want the freedom to make and sell whatever I want. I have a lot of designs for enamel pins so I am excited to see how they are going to be received.
Why Squishy Potato?
Okay, there isn't much of a story behind the name... I found some old potatoes in the back of my cupboard and they had been there so long that they had sprouted and they were squishy and smelly. Me and my friend are amused by weird things so we found it funny so that's how I got the name. Thanks Zoe :D
