Kickstarter Update: I bet you're wondering what's going on...

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the delay. I was expecting these pins to be finished waaay before now! To be honest, I have been a little nervous about updating you because I have been unhappy with how long it is taking and I didn't really know how long it would take to resolve the issues.

It turns out that my manufacturer could not actually produce the virus pins so they had to outsource them to another manufacturer. I was assured that the quality of the pins would be to the same quality that I had received from them previously so I was happy to proceed.

The 'easy' ones:

I have had photographs of the Licker, Doberman and Tyrant pins... All I can say is that the photographs are not great but the pins look good!

I have only cropped the photos, I have not edited the colours because I don't want to give an inaccurate representation of the pins.

I noticed that some pins had a butterfly clutch instead of rubber but my manufacturer has already corrected this mistake.

The 'speciality' ones:

Last week I got my first photo update on the virus pins; I had guessed that they were taking a while because they are quite complex but when I got his photograph I was really disappointed. My manufacturer had already started the pins getting reproduced because they were not happy with the quality. There are bubbles in the 'clear' enamel and the enamel is spilling over the sides. My biggest issue when I saw this image was that the clear was blue!!

My manufacturer had spoken to the factory they were outsourcing to and they said that there was a film behind it which was making it look blue but that the enamel was clear. Very sceptical about that, as was my manufacturer who is paying to have some of these pins delivered to their factory to confirm it with me.

The pins themselves have been remade and are ready to be filled with clear enamel once we confirm that the clear will in fact be clear! When my manufacturer receives the pins he will also send me photos of them glowing in the dark to confirm that they glow the matching colour.

Unfortunately, manufacturing is still going to take another few days but we are so close!

I will post an update as soon as I get more pictures for you!

Thank you for being so patient with me,
